Turners Anonymous is a group of woodturning enthusiasts from the Tri-State area surrounding Pittsburgh. We love all things about woodturning… the satisfaction of a sharp clean cut; the smell of freshly sliced cherry shavings; an excuse to buy new, expensive tools; and most importantly, the chance to help others to explore and enjoy the hobby as much as we do.

Please feel free to explore these pages to learn more about Turners Anonymous, look at some photos, and consider coming to a meeting.

Leslie Struthers, a long-standing Turners Anonymous member, will be in to demonstrate her turning and embellishing techniques.  More details about this demo are forthcoming.

For the fall, we are looking on having member Rick Homar demonstrate his techniques for making and embellishing spinning tops. These toy tops can also double as Christmas ornaments.  This session will also include an afternoon workshop open to everyone to hone your skills. For October, we are trying to bring in the professional Irish turner, Pat Carrol, to demonstrate.  There are scheduling conflicts with him, and we may need to move our meeting date to accommodate.  We will keep you posted.  In November, we hope to bring back Nick Wolfgang to demonstrate bowl turning.
